Papertrey Princesses Challenge - CASE it

ETA: This is a close up of the photo on the LO - shows the face painting clearly. We went to an "African" restaurant to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday last year and they have ladies going around painting the patrons' faces with African designs.

At last I have got to do this challenge that was issued by Cheryl. I had to CASE Mara and I knew immediately that it would have to be a scrapbook page. Mara's LO's are always so stunning. I haven't scrapped in ages and I was really so glad for this opportunity. I love scrapping! I chose this LO to CASE. Thanks for the inspiration Mara.

I used quite a lot of PTI on the LO. Made the patterned paper using Background Basics - Tin Type. Used Fresh Alphabet for part of the title. Couldn't resist using some tissue paper for the ruffle and then I used the large scallop die for the scallop.

I really need a new camera. Mine must be at least 10 years old. This LO looks so much better IRL.

PTI April Blog Hop

This month, we had to use tissue paper in our project. I really chose the easy way out. LOL. I randomly stamped an image all over a sheet of tissue paper. I used this tissue paper in a gift bag. Bought a bottle of wine as a gift and I had made a "wine bag" to put it in. So I also made a tag for the bottle and used the tissue paper to finish the packaging off.

Papertrey Princesses Challenge - Neutrals Only

Playing catch up with our blogging group's challenges. I am determined to do them all. This challenge was issued by Val. We were only allowed to use neutrals on our project. I love neutral colours so I really enjoyed this challenge.
Got the inspiration for my card from this card on Anya's blog.

WM April Blog Waltz

The theme for this month's blog waltz is Mother's Day. I used stamps from three different sets on this card ie. Very Vintage Labels 5 , the plaid stamp from Off Beat Backgrounds and the sentiment from Say it with Style. Got the tutorial for the flower on Paper Trunk. There on some great flower tutorials on that blog.

Home Again

Just got back from spending the Easter weekend in Cape Town. Cape Town is the most beautiful city in South Africa. I ran the Two Oceans Marathon, a 56km race. The photo, above, was taken at Chapman's Peak. The views are breathtaking.

Made this card before we left but did not manage to upload it. Bought a packet of doilies ages ago and have been meaning to use one on a card. Was just playing around and having fun with this card. That's what this hobby is all about isn't it?
